Hale/Bosworth Extends Basketball Surges

Hal e/ Boswo r th’s boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams entered their final pre-Christmas action last night at home against Carroll-Livingston Activity Association foe Higbee on extended winning streaks and still undefeated in CLAA play. They gained both those distinctions last Thursday night by posting league road wins over winless Keytesville squads – the boys 63-31 and the girls 32-28.

Hickman Shreds, Torches Visiting Basketball Lady Hornets

COLUMBIA — A year ago on their home floor, the then-undefeated Chillicothe High School basketball Lady Hornets battled a young, tall, athletic Columbia: Hickman Lady Kewpies squad that 50% from 2-points distance and even better (nine of 17) from 3-points land even for a half and eventually to an 8-points loss. This past Saturday afternoon, on the Columbians’ court, a less-experienced CHS squad minus its mo s t - exper ienced player, point guard, and floor leader surprisingly had its hands full and then some with the same Hickman lineup.

Southwest Livingston, Hale/Bosworth Boys Extend Winning Streaks Tuesday

Continuing winning ways – both all season and recently – was a theme of early-week results in C-T-area high school basketball. Hale/Bosworth’s and Southwest Livingston’s boys moved winning streaks of more-recent vintage to six and three, respectively, on Tuesday night, while Meadville’s and Polo’s girls added to their perfect marks for the season to date.
