PLEASANT HILL — With a roster that should offer experienced options at virtually every varsity-lineup slot, the Chillicothe High School wrestling Hornets began their season last weekend by earning second place among 16 teams in the Steve Leslie Invitational tournament. Led by Justin Pyle’s triumph in the 157-pounds division, three runnerup showings, and one third place, the Hornets racked up 388 points, according to team standings shown online with the individual results.

A pair of C-T-area high school girls’ basketball squads are off to their expected strong starts in 2022-23 after 20-wins campaigns a year ago.
