Softball Lady Hornets Power to Centralia Crown

Two CHS records fall, veterans rip seven home runs in three wins Saturday CENTRALIA — As the 2022 Chillicothe High School softball Lady Hornets work to fine-tune their game in pursuit of a thirdstraight Midland Empire Conference championship, a second district crown in a row, and a return appearance in the Class 3 state tournament “Final Four,” they stepped outside their more-common geographic realm last Saturday and flexed their muscles for some “new” eyes. Participating in the standard- bracke t , 8-teams Centralia Invitational tournament, the Lady Hornets hammered their way to the title, pounding seven home runs – three by Bre Pithan to double her season’s count – t0 set a new single-season team record while racking up 13 extra- base hits.

CHS’ Top Duo Second in MEC Tennis Tourney Wednesday

An extremely-busy and very important week in which Chillicothe High School’s tennis Lady Hornets transition from regular- season play to the postseason produced multiple highlight performances and strong efforts.
