And Away They Go……

All across Missouri Monday, including in Chillicothe, 2022 high school fall sports teams commenced their preparations for the approaching season. CHS’ cross country running and girls’ tennis teams initiated their campaigns with midnight sessions at Daryl Danner Memorial Park, while the football, girls’ golf, and volleyball squads had morning practices at Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium II, Green Hills Golf Course, and the CHS gym, respectively. The soccer Hornets got going with an evening practice at Litton Stadium, while the softball Lady Hornets were at their Danner Park diamond for an evening debut. CHS fall sports athletes will get their formal introduction to their supporters and community at the traditional “Meet the Hornets” event co-hosted by the school and Chillicothe Booster Club the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 23.
