Mudcats on the Move for ’22

Despite a rain-out of their scheduled home opener a week ago today, the Chillicothe Mudcats college-level, summer wood-bat baseball team has its 20th season of play underway. After hosting three games at “June” Shaffer Memorial Park Stadium’s “Chuck” Haney Field the latter part of last week, the team hosted (weather permitting) defending MINK League playoffs champion and top rival St. Joseph last night and is due to have home contests tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. as part of a busy slate of early-season home dates. The team’s season will run through late July with nearly two dozen home games for local and area fans of all ages to enjoy. (BUTCH SHAFFER/C-T PHOTOS)
