Chillicothe High School is hosting a mini cheer camp for kids kindergarten through fifth grade. The mini Cheerleading Camp registration closes today, Dec. 20. It is for local students in grades K-5 currently enrolled at Chillicothe Elementary School or Bishop Hogan Memorial School. Hosted by the Chillicothe High School Cheerleaders, the camp will take place on Saturday, Jan.18, 2025, from 9-11a.m. at the Chillicothe High School gym. Participants will show off what they’ve learned with a special performance during halftime of the girls’ JV basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.
The camp is designed to provide age-appropriate group experiences for all participants, who will be divided by grade level: kindergarten through first grade, second through third grades, and fourth through fifth grades. The $35 fee covers the clinic, a camp t-shirt, and a bow. Payment and completed registration forms must be turned in to the participating child’s school office by the end of the day today.
Parents are encouraged to dress their children in t-shirts, leggings, shorts, or sweatpants, along with tennis shoes. A refillable water bottle is also recommended. This year’s performances will feature smaller groups, allowing mini cheerleaders a more engaging experience while giving parents a clearer view of their child’s participation.
The CHS Cheerleaders are excited to welcome young students to this year’s camp and can’t wait to share their love of cheerleading. For any questions, parents can contact their child’s school office.
