Senior Kayanna Cranmer of the 2023-24 Chillicothe High School Lady Hornets drives past the right elbow of the lane against the tough defense of a St. Louis: Lift for Life Academy player during the first half of their Class 4 state-tournament semifinal game March 13. With Cranmer providing eight points – including the first field goal of overtime that put CHS on top one last time, five assists – including setting up Jolie Bonderer for the overtime-forcing last basket of the fourth quarter, five rebounds, and two steals, the underdog Lady Hornets came within a point to advancing to the state-title game.
