Chillicothe Municipal Utilities has partnered with Hometown Grid to launch a new online outage reporting system. The platform offers real-time updates and a map of current power outages, water leaks, and sewer backups, making reporting more efficient and accessible for the community.

Residents can report outages, leaks, or backups by texting or calling 888-906-5510. The system guides users through basic prompts to help utility crews identify the source of the issue and add outage details to the live map. Users can also track the status of outages to see when power is restored.

The outage map is available at hometowngrid.com/cmu or through cmuchillicothe.com by clicking on the outage map link at the top of the page. (See included graphic). This initiative aims to enhance communication and streamline utility service management for Chillicothe residents.
