June 25, 1922 – January 30, 2023

Colleen Clinefelter, age 100, of Conway Missouri (formerly of Chillicothe) passed away on January 30, 2023. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Don Clinefelter, a son Jerry Clinefelter, a brother Dr. Joyce DeWeese, and a sister Carolyn Tripp. Survivors include a son Larry and C.J. Clinefelter of Conway, Missouri, a daughter Donna and Rick Post of Wytheville, Virginia, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Colleen was very active in helping start programs to benefit mentally and physically handicapped children and adults in the Chillicothe area. These include starting mainstreaming in local schools, starting State School #20, Camp Rainbow, Hope Haven Sheltered Workshop, and her beloved Peter Pan Center where she served faithfully for nearly 30 years. Peter Pan Center was eventually located on a street named Clinefelter Lane in her honor.

Colleen continued to do volunteer work during her retirement years in the Conway Missouri school system, the Conway Senior Center and her local church.

A private burial will take place in Laclede Missouri. A Celebration of Life service for family and friends will take place in Conway Missouri at a date and time to be announced later.
