The 2022 Chillicothe High School Hornets won the Class 1 District 15 team championship at Trenton in thrilling fashion Wednesday, rallying in singles play to overtake and edge Trenton, 5-4. From left, the Hornets’ squad includes Josh Adams, whose straight-sets No. 4 singles win tied the match at 4-4, Gabe Peterson, Chace Corbin, Jadon Collins, whose near-miraculous comeback to win the first set led to his title-clinching straight-sets triumph in No. 5 single, Emmett Young, Jackson Reeter, and coach Bob Long.
