Haviland, KS – Donald Wayne Chenoweth, 75, passed away January 4, 2022 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 17, 1946 in Wichita to Lawrence and Ella Fern (Meyer) Chenoweth. Donald married Karen Conklin on September 6, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Haviland, KS. They were married for 46 years.

Donald attended Haviland High School where he graduated and later attended Pratt Community College. Donald loved farming for many years. He later worked for Kiowa County Memorial Hospital in the Maintenance department for 25 years. He was a member of Haviland United Methodist Church and served on the Haviland school board and Haviland city council.

He is survived by his mother, Ella Fern Chenoweth of Rose Hill; wife, Karen of Haviland; daughters, Deborah (Rick) Stegman of Pratt and Sarah (David) Lampe of Kinsley; son, Brian Chenoweth of Haviland; grandchildren, Kahrie Stegman, Brenna Stegman, Samantha Lampe and Wyatt Lampe; brothers, Richard (Mary Beth) Chenoweth of Brighton, Colorado and Daryl (Sherry ) Chenoweth of Normal, Illinois; and twin sister, Dianne (Gary) Stearns of Rose Hill.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Dean Chenoweth.

Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Haviland United Methodist with Pastor Mark Fillmore presiding. Burial will follow at Haviland Cemetery.
