CHILLICOTHE – FosterAdopt Connect of Chillicothe is calling on community members to lend a helping hand and make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. Volunteers are needed for several upcoming events and activities, with opportunities to support both behind the scenes and at live events. From event prep to helping with tournaments and daytime support tasks, there’s something for everyone who wants to get involved.

Volunteer Opportunities

• May 17: Assisting at the Sliding Home Softball Tournament (roles include umpires, scorekeepers, raffle tables, and more); and

• May 26–June 6: Various daytime volunteer roles.

Sliding Home Softball Tournament Returns May 17

Mark your calendars for the Sliding Home Softball Tournament on Saturday, May 17 at Danner Park, located at 1461 Trenton Rd, Chillicothe. Hosted by FosterAdopt Connect, this fun-filled event supports children in foster care while bringing the community together for a great cause.

Teams can register now for $250. The tournament will follow a 7-3 coed format, and each team is guaranteed to play at least three games. Alongside the action on the field, attendees can grab a bite to eat from D&T’s Peppered Pig, serving up delicious Midwest BBQ throughout the day.
