CARROLLTON – The Chillicothe High School Marching Hornets band earned two top-three finishes Saturday during the 55th annual Carrollton Band Day, which featured more than 50 schools in parade, field, drumline, and auxiliary competitions.
Chillicothe claimed first place in the Class Three middle school parade division and also secured third place in the Class Three indoor drumline competition, which included six entries.
Other area results included Macon winning the Class Three parade, Trenton placing third in the Class Three field show and second in the indoor auxiliary, and Gallatin capturing top honors in the Class Two indoor drumline. Stewartsville and Lawson also brought home first-place titles in their respective divisions.
The overall grand champion titles went to Fayette among Classes One through Three and Oak Grove among Classes Four and Five, with Oak Grove also being named the overall Middle School Grand Champion.
