House Fire on LIV 511 Leaves One Injured, Investigation Underway

The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a house fire at 9874 LIV 511 on Dec. 10 around 6:54 p.m. Crews arrived on the scene within 18 minutes to find the home fully engulfed in flames, with all occupants safely evacuated.

Due to the intensity of the fire, mutual aid was requested from Chula and Jamesport fire departments for additional tankers and personnel.

Emergency medical services were also dispatched to the scene to assist a burn victim. The Air Ambulance landed nearby and transported the individual to a regional trauma center for further treatment. Firefighters used approximately 7,000 gallons of water to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
