CHILLICOTHE – The University of Missouri Extension (MU Extension) in Livingston County is offering a healthy cooking class for individuals with diabetes, Dining with Diabetes.

In this class:

Participants learn how to make meals that are healthy, easy to prepare, and tasty.

Recipes will be demonstrated, and participants will have the opportunity to taste each one.

Participants will also learn up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, exercise, and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests. Recipes and a workbook will be given to each participant.

The Dining with Diabetes course meets for 4 weeks, May 29, June 5, 12, and 26 (No class on June 19) from 4 p.m., to 6:30 p.m. The classes will be held in Chillicothe. The location of the program will be shared after registration is completed.

Space is limited to the first 15 people who register.
