MACON – Lloyd D. Hutcherson, age 81 of Macon, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Macon Health Care Center, Macon. Lloyd was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on August 1, 1940 to William Thomas and Fontella (Ellis) Hutcherson. He married Janice Billups on August 20, 1966.

Lloyd was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Cuban Missile crisis. He had worked as a welder for John Deere and was a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church and enjoyed running marathons.

He is survived by his wife Janice Hutcherson of the home in Macon, daughter Fontella Deuterio and family of Katy, Texas; son Erick Taylor of Ashland, brothers Ed Hutcherson of Hale and Donald Hutcherson of Avalon, sister Carolyn Shields of Carrollton, three grandchildren, Ethan Lloyd Deuterio, Dustin Deuterio and Victoria Deuterio and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with visitation starting at 11 AM. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post #57 and mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
