Drew Hinton, park facilities coordinator with the Chillicothe Parks and Recreation Department, unloads a flower pot for placement in front of a downtown business. The downtown flowers are part of a Main Street Chillicothe project that includes 84 small pots (like the ones shown above), four medium pots, 16 permanent planter boxes and nine hanging floral pole planters. Planted in them is a mixture of Dragon Wing Red Begonia, Angelonia Carita (purple), Lantana Bandana Landscape Gold, Vinca Cora (white), and Petunia Ramblin' (violet). Also planted are green and white variegated Iboza vines. The planted flower project is a partnership with the city Parks Department. The flowers are from Beth Weidner's Weeds Greenhouse. As the season continues, the flower pots and planter boxes will overflow with color.
