On Jan. 26, Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) Detective Ryan Ford was working on a fugitive investigation and stopped a vehicle driven by Randy Ray Campbell, 36, Chillicothe. Campbell was then arrested on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony assault-3rd degree with bond at $7,500. This was a case originally investigated by the Chillicothe Police Department resulting in an arrest warrant being issued on Jan. 25.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine (11 bags), distribution equipment, nearly $4,200 in cash and a small amount of marijuana.

Campbell was arrested for alleged distribution of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. A formal felony allegation has been filed in Associate Circuit Court charging him with the alleged distribution of a controlled substance with bond set at $20,000.

Information has been submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of filing civil forfeiture on the cash. Detective Ford was assisted by the Chillicothe Police Department. The investigation continues.
