Rural Fire Protection District meeting tonight
The Chillicothe Rural Fire Protection District’s annual meeting begins at 7 p.m., tonight, Feb. 19, at the Chillicothe Fire Station Conference Room.
On the agenda are a review of last year’s minutes, the 2018 financial report, the Fire Chiefs report and the election of the Director for Area 5.
In case of cancellation due to bad weather, the meeting will be held at 7 p.m., on Feb. 26.

YMCA Souper Potluck Luncheon
The Souper Bowl is on! The Grand River Area YMCA is hosting a SOUPER potluck luncheon from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., on Feb. 21, at the Grand River Area Family YMCA . Bring your favorite soup, side dish, or dessert large enough to feed 10-12 people. Those attending will vote on the best soup and prizes will be awarded. This is a free community event. 

Free fellowship, dinner
Lawrence Booth is hosting a free fellowship, dinner event beginning at 6 p.m., Feb. 19 and 21. The event will also include the chance to learn the truth of the scripture, John 8:32. Livingston County Commission
Notice is hereby given that the Livingston County Commission will conduct a meeting at 9:30 a.m., on Feb. 21, in the Livingston County Commission Room, Chillicothe. The tentative agenda of this meeting includes: approval of minutes: county road and bridge matters; administrative and departmental duties and any other business that is deemed necessary. Anyone wanting to meet with the County Commission should contact the County Clerk to make an appointment.

Testing of absentee voting equipment to be held Feb. 22
In compliance with state law, Livingston County Clerk and Election Authority Sherry Parks, will conduct testing of the automatic absentee voting equipment at 9 a.m., on Feb. 22, in the Livingston County Courthouse in the County Clerk’s office. Representatives of political parties, media, candidates and public are invited to attend.

4H soup, supper to be held Friday
The Wheeling Happy Harvesters will be hosting a soup supper from 5:30-7 p.m., on Feb. 22 at the Wheeling Community Center. The meal is a free will donation.

Benefit dinner for Rick Hussey

A benefit dinner and concert will be held for Rick Hussey who is dealing with health issues. The event begins with a hog roast at 5 p.m. on Feb. 23, at the Copper Creek Event Center, on Route Z. There will be a live auction following dinner with Auctioneer Bobby Peniston and from 8 p.m., to midnight a concert with Centerline. Wheeling Cemetery Association annual meeting Feb. 25
The Wheeling Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 1 p.m., on Feb. 25, at the Wheeling christian Church. The meeting is open to the public.

Livingston County Ambulance District to meet
The Livingston County Ambulance District will meet at 8 a.m., Feb. 26, at the Chillicothe Fire Station. Agenda items include the quarterly financial report, new ambulance, mileage and a status report on ambulances. The public is invited to attend.

Library hosting, Travel Diaries: A Series
The Livingston County Library is hosting a new program series, Travel Diaries: A Series, featuring Judith Shoot beginning at 10 a.m. on Feb. 26 at the library.
Judith Shoot will present the inaugural program, which she calls, “Happy Trails.” She will share memories of her travels and some of the items which help preserve them. The event will be held in the second floor courtroom. There is no cost or registration required for this series.

Together Living with Cancer to meet Feb. 28
Together Living with Cancer, a support group, will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m., the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at Highview Baptist Church, 713 Milwaukee Ave. The next meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., on Feb. 28, at the church.
