Main Street Chilliocthe brings a first-annual event to downtown that includes craft beer tasting.
Main Street Chillicothe is bringing a taste of Ireland to Chillicothe, by hosting “A Drop of Dublin Downtown”. This is a new event offering craft beer tasting will take place this Friday, March 8, in front of beautiful downtown Silver Moon Plaza, 707 Webster St.
Regardless of what Mother Nature may bring, participants will be comfortable underneath the warmth of an enclosed, heated tent. The tasting will be held from 6 -9 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 each and purchasers must be 21 years of age or older. Main Street is limiting ticket sales to the first 300 people. Advance purchasing may be done by going to http://www.downtownchilli.com and click on the Drop of Dublin Downtown event, by calling the Main Street Office at 660-646-4071 to use a debit or credit card; or in person, at the Area Chamber of Commerce, 514 Washington St.
Levi Garrison & Sons Brewing Company from Hamilton, will be present, as well as River Bottoms Brewery out of Carrollton. Not only will these breweries be offering tastings, but they will also offer their products for sale.
Other craft beers available for tasting are offered through Sparta Beverage Group of Kansas City. They are O’Malley’s Cream Ale; O’Malley’s Irish Stout; Weston Brewing Co.’s Leapin’ Leprechaun; and KC Craft Black Wheat Lager as well as KC Craft Opening Day Golden Ale. These beers will be available for purchase at The Sip.
Flannigan’s Right Hook, a well known band from Kansas City will be hosting a free concert from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. for everyone’s enjoyment. Hy-Vee will have their grill on site and Jersey’s Grill will have domestic beers available.
Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples has announced a street closing for the Main Street Drop of Dublin Downtown. Webster Street from Washington to Locust Street and Silver Moon Plaza, and Locust Street and Webster Street intersection will be blocked off from 1:30 p.m. on March 8 until 9 a.m. on March 9.
