Press release for March 12, 2019
12:02 a.m., Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a verbal disturbance. The officer made contact with two female and two male subjects. One female and male who are in a domestic relationship had been arguing and the male subject had threatened to harm himself. He was transported to the Hedrick Medical Center for an evaluation.
12:23 a.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Dickenson Street for a physical domestic disturbance. One male subject was arrested for domestic assault and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.
1:37 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Jackson Street for a harassment complaint. Further investigation is to continue in this case.
2:40 p.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Washington Street for a disturbance. Officers made contact with the subjects involved and it was determined they were arguing about a close call accident. They were told to leave the area.
2:43 p.m., Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a stealing that had occurred. Officers were able to recognize the subjects involved and will be getting a warrant issued.
6:40 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Elm Street, for some abandon property that had been left in front of a business. Officers searched through the small bag that had been left to identify the owner of the bag. No identification was found but several narcotics devices were located and properly destroyed. It was left by an unknown person.
11:50 p.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of 3rd Street for dogs fighting. The owners of the dogs said that neither dog was injured in the fight. One person was walking his dog and it got away from him and began fighting with a dog in a backyard. Both owners agreed to handle the issue between themselves.
On march 12, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to 93 calls for service.
