Clint Williams is one of four candidates seeking a three-year seat on the Chillicothe R-II School Board in the April 2 election.
Williams has personal interest in making sure Chillicothe R-II School District continues to grow and thrive.
“I have a personal interest in helping to maintain this school and that is my son, Mason, who is in kindergarten,” Williams said.
Williams is originally from Utica but has lived in Chillicothe for several years.
Being involved is important to him, and serving on the school board is another way he can be involved in the community he and his family call home.
“I am currently serving as treasurer for the Chillicothe Area Christian Builders, I am the chairperson of the finance committee at First Baptist Church and am the director for the Chillicothe Lions Club,” he said.
Williams said that ensuring the school district maintains qualified staff, is something he hopes to continue, if elected, as he sees the current staff as exceptional.
“Some amazing assets our school system has are all of the teachers and administrators,” he said. “We have an amazing community and school system and I believe that all of us should serve wherever we can.”
Williams feels that his experience as a certified public accountant with Harden, Cummins, Moss and Miller will serve the schools well.
“I know my experiences and financial background will be a benefit to the school system,” he said, noting. “ I plan to be an active board member who is ready to serve wherever I am most needed.”
Williams and his wife, Melissa, who grew up in Chillicothe, have one son, Mason. The couple have also been foster parents for the last two years.
