Press release for March 21, 2019
1:51 a.m., Subject came into police department stating that she had been assaulted. The suspects identity was provided to officers and the information is being provided to the prosecuting attorney.
2:05 a.m., Officers responded to a complaint of suspicious activity in the 1100 block of Calhoun Street. Officers noted a dog barking in neighborhood, but were unable to locate anything of suspicious nature.
2:12 a.m., Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area or Trenton Road and Danner Park. An officer made contact with a local resident who reported nothing suspicious in the area.
2:17 a.m., Officers responded to a complaint of dog barking for long time in the 1100 block of Calhoun Street. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone at residence.
7:42 a.m., Officers and Chillicothe Emergency Services responded to the 1200 block of Washington Street, regarding a motor vehicle accident. Officers determined a vehicle driven by Allen Wayne Eakins that was exiting a private drive, failed to yield the right of way for a vehicle driven by Geraldine Wanda Huston. Huston received moderate injuries and went to Hedrick Medical Center by private vehicle. Both vehicles had to be towed due to extensive damage. Eakins was not injured and nor was his passenger. Eakins was given a municipal citation for fail to yield the right of way.
8:25 a.m., Officers were called to a business in the 200 block of West Business 36 in report of a vehicle having been driven through the grass and damaging property. No report was taken as the parties were going to handle through their insurance companies.
8:41 a.m., The school resource officer was at the Livingston County Courthouse in reference a truancy issue.
8:43 a.m., Officers responded to a report from 1200 block of Page Street of someone having gone through some parked vehicles.
9:03 a.m., Officers responded to a parking complaint from a business in the 800 block of South Washington Street. Property owners were advised of their options where the vehicle was parked on private property.
11:47 a.m., Officers assisted the fire department with what was found to have been a dryer on fire in the 1100 block of Cooper Street.
12:31 p.m., An officer returned some property that had been recovered at a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.
12:55 p.m., Officers responded to a complaint of something burning in the area of 15th and Maple Streets. A subject was burning leaves in their yard.
1:49 p.m., An officer was out on a motorist assist in the area of Mitchell Road and U.S. 36 Highway. The subject advised that they were on their way to a local business for service on the vehicle.
2:26 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle that was taking pictures of houses in the 300 block of Walnut Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
3:00 p.m., A subject was in the police department reporting harassment by a subject known to them. An officer spoke with the subject.
3:49 p.m., An officer was dispatched to U.S. 36 Highway just east of U.S. 65 for a non-injury accident. An eastbound vehicle was preparing to enter onto U.S. 36 Highway from the eastbound entrance ramp when a vehicle abruptly slowed in front of it. This caused them to swerve to the left to avoid a collision and it then struck a vehicle that was eastbound on US-36. No injuries were received and the vehicles were driven from the scene.
4:01 p.m., An officer returned a check to an individual in the 400 block of Locust Street, that had been found on the floor of a local business.
4:30 p.m., An officer responded to a report of kids acting suspiciously at a local cemetery. They were contacted and found to be under parental control and replacing flowers….
6:18 p.m. An officer returned property to an individual in the 400 block of Third Street that had been lost and turned in to the police department.
6:18 p.m., An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated individual at a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street. A description of the subject and their vehicle was obtained but officers were unable to locate the suspect.
8:03 p.m., An officer responded to a report of property damage at 100 block of Calhoun Street.
11:05 p.m., Subjects came to the police department to speak with an officer in reference to an earlier call at 8:03 p.m.. They were advised of options that were available toward settlement.

On March 21, the Chillicothe Police Department received 112 calls for service.
