Chillicothe Firefighters responded to an alarm at the Chillicothe Elementary School, located at 900 Coach K Rd., at about 5:30 a.m., on March 26, after dispatch received a report of smoke in the duct work. The Chillicothe Fire Department arrived at the scene with a pumper and ladder truck and proceeded to Room 201, where the alarm was noting the smoke. Fire crews found no smoke upon their arrival in the room and also found no smoke after removing ceiling tiles. Crews then reset the alarm only to have it go off again. After removing the ceiling tiles once again, school maintenance crews wiped off the alarm unit and spoke with fire crews, the school principal and the superintendent. Firefighters cleared the scene at about 6:45 a.m.
