12:42 a.m., Officers checked the area of the 400 block of Washington Street on a report of the odor of something burning. Officers were unable to locate source of odor.
6:57 a.m., Officers recovered two bicycles that had been abandoned on property in the 1000 block of Graves Street. The owners can come to thepolice department, describe their bike and reclaim their property.
8:15 a.m., An officer responded to a parking complaint in the 1600 block of Maple Street.
9:10 a.m., An officer received a report of fraud in the 300 block of South Washington Street. The investigation is continuing.
9:42 a.m., An officer attempted paper service in the 900 block of Easton Street. Negative contact was made for service.
10:20 a.m., The school resource officer performed a well-being check in the 600 block of JF Kennedy Avenue. All was determined to be okay.
10:25 a.m., Officers assisted with traffic control for Emergency Services in the 10 block of Hickory Street after construction equipment struck a gas line.
11:25 a.m., An officer conducted a well-being check in the 600 block of Clay Street. Subject was seen tthat morning and was going to an appointment.
11:38 a.m., An officer responded to a report of possible animal neglect in the area of JF Kennedy and Easton Street. The owner and Animal Control were contacted and a solution was reached for the animal.
11:39 a.m., A subject was in police department to speak with an officer reference an incident in the 800 block of Jefferson Street.
1:49 p.m., Call of possible fraudulent use of credit card by subject to order food from establishment. The iInvestigation ia continuing with a possible suspect.
1:54 p.m., An officer performed a motorist assist at US-65 and Highway 190.
2:16 p.m., Officers investigated an automobile crash near Borden and Dorney Street. It was determined to be members of the same family that had a disagreement and no one received injuries, one was cited for careless driving and following too closely and one for careless and imprudent driving.
2:52 p.m., Officers checked a reported 911 call from a residence on Hillside Drive. .It was determined that there had been no reason for the call and the subject was talked with about the misuse of the emergency service.
5:24 p.m., Officers responded to a reported possible disturbance near Woodward and Polk Streets. It was determined to have been a subject in a vehicle yelling at some kids. The subject was contacted and the situation was handled by officers.
7:46 p.m., An officer responded to a report of a subject slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle parked in 1000 block of Graves Street. The officer located the vehicle and it was found that the subject was just taking a nap.
On April 3, the Chillicothe Police Department received 116 calls for service.
