Press release for April 11, 2019
4:25 a.m., An officer responded to a report of debris in the roadway on North Washington Street. A trash can had blown onto roadway and the officer removed it.
5:29 a.m., A caller reported possible attempted theft of lawn mower from a business in the 10 block of South Washington St. Suspects were seen loading a mower into the back of a vehicle and when they were seen, they left the mower and left the scene going South on Washington Street. A description of the vehicle was obtained and investigation is continuing.
8:46 a.m., An officer was in the 500 block of Park Lane on a continuing investigation of a theft from a business in Park Center.
9:36 a.m., Report of a large number of people creating a disturbance in a yard near Third and Hickory Streets. Officers were unable to locate any disturbance.
4:36 p.m., An officer responded to a report of property damage to vehicle in a parking lot in the 2700 block North Washington Street.
5:03 p.m., An officer responded to a complaint of a dog running loose in the 1300 block of Third Street. The officer was unable to catch the animal.
7:12 p.m., An officer attempted paper service in the 1000 block of South Washington Street, however, the subject is no longer employed at the business.
7:43 p.m., An officer recovered an abandoned bicycle in the 800 block of Bryan Street. The bicycle can be claimed at the police department by the rightful owner.
On April 11, the Chillicothe Police Department received 101 calls for service.
