8:04 a.m., Officers assisted Chillicothe Municipal Utilities with a downed power line across East and Westbound Highway 36.
8:11 a.m., Officers responded to a business alarm in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. It was determined to be an accidental activation.
9:03 a.m., An officer attempted paper service in the 500 block of Vine Street.
10:15 a.m., Officers received a report of a person driving in a careless and imprudent manner southbound on US-65. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
10:21 a.m., An officer attempted paper service in the 200 block of Gale Street.
10:27 a.m., An officer attempted paper service in the 200 block of Bridge Street. Paper was served.
10:48 a.m., The school resource officer was out in the 800 block of Jansen Street checking on a student.
11:23 a.m., Officers attempted to execute a warrant in the 300 block of Clay Street.
11:36 a.m., Officers executed a warrant on an individual in the 400 block of Walnut Street. The subject was transported to the police department, processed and released after posting an appearance bond.
12:21 p.m., Officers received a report of loud music and noise complaint in the 1400 block of McVey Street. Residents were advised to keep the noise down or be issued a citation.
1:27 p.m., An officer responded to a report of an individual with possible mental issues at an address on West Business 36. The subject was contacted and transported for medical assistance to a facility in St. Joseph.
5:01 p.m., A citizen reported disturbance between neighbors in the 200 block of Second Street. The situation was handled by officers.
6:40 p.m., A citizen reported damage to a fence in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Suspects were gone on officers’ arrival.
7:17 p.m., An officer responded to a report in the area of East Jackson Street of a dog trying to bite people. Officers were unable to locate the animal.
7:22 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a barking dog disturbing the neighborhood in the 1400 block of Polk Street. The dog was located and the owner took the dog inside.
7:36 p.m., An officer assisted Chillicothe Emergency Services on a medical call in the 500 block of West Mohawk.
10:12 p.m., An officer responded to a report of a subject throwing items at residence in the 1400 block of Clay Street. Officer contacted complainant and no report made at this time.
11:53 p.m., Officers performed a check well-being of subject in the 1100 block of Grandview Avenue, the subject was not at the residence.
On May 8, the Chillicothe Police received 96 calls for service.
