Downtown and the Kelly Poling Arts District are coming alive with a variety of spring-time updates.

Over the last several days, downtown Chillicothe has come alone. Thanks to several projects underway by Main Street Chillicothe the planters throughout downtown are now decorated with variety of seasonal flowers by Beth Wiedner of Weeds Greenhouse. On Wednesday,. Main Street Chillicothe employees and Green Hills Communications painted two crosswalks in the Kelly Poling Arts District. The crosswalks located at Clay and Locust Streets and Ann and Locust Streets welcome visitors to the Arts District. Ben White, executive director of Main Street Chillicothe, said City of Chillicothe Street Department also played a role in the painting of the crosswalks.

The new mural depicting Leeper Hotel and other downtown sites is taking shape. White said, weather pending, the newest mural should be competed in the next few weeks. Jacob Duncan, Lawson, has been working on the mural on the side of the Klinginsmith Building.
