During an executive session of the Chillicothe City Council following the council’s regularly scheduled meeting on May 13, the council voted in executive session to hire Benda Buck and Daniel King as full-time 911 dispatchers, brining the number of full-time 911 dispatchers to a total of eight, more than the city has ever had.

“This is going to help with call volume for the dispatchers and it is going to help with liability and improve public and officer safety,” Chief Jon Maples said.

King and Buck start orientation for their new positions Monday.
