Press release for June 12, 2019

8:00 a.m., Reported theft of a restricted parking sign from the 400 block of Locust Street.

8:02 a.m., Officers executed a probation/parole warrant in the 10 block South Washington. Subject was processed and transferred to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

8:49 a.m., Received dog complaint in the 1200 block of Walnut Street. Owner warned about the animal.

9:25 a.m., Report of dog running loose in alley way of 700 block of Washington Street and trying to bite a subject. The animal was captured and animal control notified.

9:43 a.m., Officer at police department to speak to subject in reference to return of property that had been stolen from him.

12:13 p.m., Well-being check in the 1900 block of Polk Street.

1:34 p.m., Loud music complaint coming from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Second Street. No loud music upon officers arrival but subjects were talked to.

1:43 p.m., Subject was arrested by an officer at the police department after they turned themselves in. Subject was processed and transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

1:50 p.m., Report was received of a tire and wheel coming off of a vehicle as it was leaving a business in the 700 block of South Washington Street and it struck a vehicle. Information was received for a report.

4:09 p.m., Officer performed a public relations talk in the 400 block of Washington Street.

5:09 p.m., Officers were called to the 1200 block of Third Street to a report of an individual threatening to inflict self-harm.The subject was contacted and transported to Hedrick Medical Center for medical assistance and later transferred to a facility in St. Joseph.

7:55 p.m., Officer spoke with subject at the PD in reference to a possible scam. No report made at this time.

9:04 p.m., Report of loud music in the 200 block of Southwest Drive. Officers checked the area and were unable to hear any loud music.

9:21p.m., Report of debris in the roadway at Washington and Calhoun Streets..Officer removed the debris.

9:36p.m., Well-being check in the 900 block of Webster Street. Subject was OK.

10:06p.m., Officer spoke with an out-of-county medical facility with questions about a cat scratch/bite incident.

10:32p.m., Dog running loose in the 700 block of Elm Street.The animal was captured and transported to the animal shelter.

On June 12, the Chillicothe Police Department received 105 calls for service.
