2:05 a.m., Officer conducted a traffic stop at Clay and Locust Streets. The driver was issued a warning for failing to use a turn signal.

2:13 a.m., Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 1400 block of Jackson. No suspicious activity was located.

8:59 a.m., Officer conducted a well-being check on a subject in the 2100 block of Country Club. The subject was found to be safe.

10:49 a.m., Officer received a report of possible property da.m.age in the 1200 block of Locust. No property da.m.age was located.

11:05 a.m., Officers responded to the 1100 block of Polk Street regarding a civil property dispute.

11:12 a.m., Officer responded to private property accident in the 200 block of West Business 36. Owners of vehicles advised no report was needed.

12:10 p.m., Officer received a report of stolen trailer license plates.

1:02 p.m., Officers responded to a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves about two adult passengers appeared to be passed out in the vehicle. The vehicle was located a short distance away from the parking lot. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested a female for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The same female was also arrested on active Carroll County warrants. The female was processed at the police department and transferred to Carroll County.

3:23 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of Clay Street. A female was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The female was processed at the police department, cited, and released pending a court appearance.

4:52 p.m., Officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Graves for a report of shoplifting. A male subject was arrested for stealing, processed at the police department, cited, and released pending a court appearance.

5:21 p.m., Officer received a report of interference with custody. The report was forwarded to the proper authorities.

5:42 p.m., Officers called to a residence in the 1100 block of Polk for a possible suicidal subject with a firearm. The subject was located without incident and the incident is believed to be a misunderstanding by the reporting person.

8:45 p.m., Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Washington Street. The driver was issued a warning for expired registration.

8:47 p.m., Officer called to the 100 block of Herriman for a report of harassment. No harassment had occurred and the person was advised of civil actions.

9:08 p.m., Officers called to a business in the 1000 block of Graves for a report of theft. AS a result of the investigation, officers arrested a female for stealing. She was transported to the police department, processed, cited, and released pending a future court appearance.

11:21 p.m., Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Jackson Street. The driver was issued a warning for defective equipment.

11:58 p.m., Officers called to the area of the 600 block of JFK for suspicious activity. No suspicious activity was located.

12:52 a.m., Officers assisted a Livingston County Deputy on a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North Washington Street.

1:30 a.m., Call of a fight at a business in the 400 block of Locust Street. The involved suspects were gone on officer’s arrival.

3:21 a.m., Call from business in the 800 block of West Business 36 about a possible impaired driver. A description of the vehicle was given and it was gone on officers' arrival.

4:07 a.m., Suspicious activity of a vehicle parked on the lot in the business located in 1200 block of North Washington Street. The subject was utilizing the business wi-fi and was asked to move on.

7:06 a.m., Commercial business alarm in the 1000 block of Graves Street; was a false alarm.

8:35 a.m., Report from the property owner of damage in the 800 block of Walnut Street.

9:50 a.m., Report of radio stolen from inside vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Washington Street.

12:54 p.m., Request for a well-being check on a subject in 1000 block of Olive Street.

1:05 p.m., Subject in the police department speaking with the officer in reference to a theft, which was determined to have occurred in the county. The subject advised to report to the sheriff's office.

1:34 p.m., Officers spoke with a subject in the 10 Block of Virginia Avenue having a dispute with a neighbor. Was advised it is a civil issue.

3:02 p.m., Parking complaint in 1200 block of Locust Street. No signs in the area of parking prohibiting parking at that location.

3:05 p.m., Complaint of a C & I vehicle southbound on US 65 toward Chillicothe. Officer watched for the vehicle and saw none matching the description given.

3:39 p.m., Officer spoke on the phone with a subject that was concerned about the living conditions of another individual.

4:20 p.m., Officers assisted the sheriff’s office at Hedrick Medical Center, for a subject that had fled on a motorcycle Westbound on US 36 and had wrecked the vehicle at Mooresville. The subject who had been wanted on a Livingston County warrant had been arrested by Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and transported to Hedrick Medical Center by Chillicothe Emergency Services for treatment.

7:56 p.m., Report of a young child walking on top of the wall at the old football stadium on Miller Street. Officer could not locate the child.

9:56 p.m., Fire alarm at a business in the 1700 block of Morningside Drive.

10:28 p.m., Possible leaving without paying at a business in the 600 block of West Business 36 Highway, the investigation is continuing.

10:59 p.m., Request to check premises in 1400 block of Jackson Street. The residence has been empty and the garage door is open. On July 13, the Chillicothe Police Department received 87 calls for service.

Chillicothe Police Dispatch would like to remind everyone that the misuse of the 911 Emergency Telephone service is a crime. Dispatch has been receiving a large amount of “accidental” and “unfounded” calls along with a large number of calls from children that are obtaining their parent’s phones. If you have a phone that you are providing to your child, please remove the battery so it will not be able to access 911. Please use 911 for the emergency purpose for which it is intended, not for non-emergencies.

1:55 a.m., Report of kids trying to start a fire at South River Access. Determined to be kids fishing.

6:25 a.m., Report of burglary and theft from a residence and theft from a truck in the 10 block of Waters Edge Drive. Possible suspects apprehended in Hamilton, the investigation is continuing.

8:14 a.m., Officers performed a well-being check in the 1400 block of Polk Street. The subject was located at his place of employment.

9:23 a.m., Officers took a report of stolen radio from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Washington Street.

9:54 a.m., Officers assisted emergency services on a medical call in the 300 block of Polk Street.

1:10 p.m., Report of car speaker stolen out of the vehicle in the 10 block of Eleventh Street.

1:12 p.m., Theft report of registration plate taken from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Jennings Place.

1:19 p.m., Officer performed a paper service in the 400 block of Locust Street.

1:53 p.m., Officer performed a well-being check on the subject in 800 block of Walnut Street. The subject was contacted and taken for evaluation by subject requesting the check.

2:47 p.m., Officer assisted another agency by delivering an item to the courthouse.

4:52 p.m., Officer checked on the subject of a 911 call from 800 block of Walnut Street. Accidental dial.

5:12 p.m., Reported traffic light malfunction at Park Lane and Washington. Signal light out and MoDot notified.

6:14 p.m., Officer spoke with a subject on the phone in reference to a lost dog in the area of Green Street.

6:37 p.m., Check well-being of subjects in the 100 block of Asher Street, was a possible domestic disturbance. Officer checked residence and no problems found.

8:42 p.m., Officer contacted fireworks violators at the intersection of Polk and Locust. Advised them of an ordinance violation.

9:39 p.m., Officers responded to a business in the 1200 block of North Washington to a subject acting strangely, the subject was contacted and possibly having a reaction to change in dosage of medication and a family member came to scene for assistance.

9:46 p.m., Officers reported to the 1000 block of Polk Street for reported strange activity by a subject and the resident wanted the subject that was acting strangely to leave the residence. The subject was given a courtesy ride to their residence.

10:48 p.m., Report from 1502 Springhill Road of a vehicle parked in the driveway and don’t know whose it is. Officer checked the vehicle for stolen and it wasn’t. The property owner possibly going to have the vehicle towed.

11:01 p.m., Report of fireworks violation that was determined to be the fireworks exhibited after the MudCats ball game.

On July 12, the Chillicothe Police Department received 101 calls for service.

12:29 a.m., Officers located a subject at Walnut and Jackson Streets that had been involved in an earlier peace disturbance incident in the 600 block of Walnut St….The subject was arrested, transported to the police department, processed and transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

4:29 a.m., Officers performed a well-being check in the 1500 block of Calhoun Street.

9:00 a.m., Officers out at courthouse for court duties.

9:53 a.m., Officer took equipment to St. Joseph for maintenance.

10:56 a.m., Officers performed a well-being check in the 1100 block of Fairway.

11:07 a.m., Property that had been found in the 700 block of Clay Street was returned to a business in the 400 block of S. Washington Street.

12:16 p.m., Check well-being of subject in the 1400 block of Polk Street.

1:34 p.m., Officer assisted another agency on a vehicle stop at the South Junction of US 36 & 65.

2:42 p.m., Officer monitored the area of South US 65 for a reported C & I driver but was unable to locate the vehicle.

3:05 p.m., Subject brought some replica firearms to the police department to be disposed of.

4:18 p.m., Complaint of dogs barking in the 1100 block of Third Street.

4:34 p.m., Officer made contact with a subject of a previously reported trespassing. The subject was issued a citation for trespassing and released.

4:58 p.m., Report of grass clippings from lawnmower, in the roadway in the 100 block of East Jackson. Residents were advised of the ordinance.

5:25 p.m., Officers responded to Washington and Polk Street in regards to a non-injury two vehicle accident. One of the drivers was issued a citation for following too closely in an accident.

6:34 p.m., Report of disturbance between a male and female in the 1100 block of Oak Street.

7:29 p.m., Officers responded to the 1500 block of Fair Street reference possible theft. No report was taken.

8:02 p.m., Complaint of dog running loose in the 500 block of Ann Street.

8:56 p.m., Commercial business alarm in the 500 block of South Washington Street. Unable to determine the reason of activation.

10:17 p.m., Complaint of disturbance in the area of East Jackson and Collie. Contact made with residents who stated there had been no disturbance.

10:17 p.m., Call from a subject in 100 block of North Herriford. Subject reporting unwanted tenants. Subject advised of his options.

11:20 p.m., Subject in the police department with a question on disposing of property that had been left at his residence from a recent relationship. Advised it is a civil issue.
