CJ Banks donates to Community Resource Center

One major stumbling block to ending homelessness is clothing. When a person’s possessions have been reduced to what they can carry, keeping nice work clothing is almost impossible. The Community Resource Center was pleased to receive a call from Charlotte Stephens of CJ Banks in Kansas City on June 13 stating they had clothing donations for Chillicothe’s Community Resource Center.

CJ Banks has a tradition of helping the community and that includes reaching out to women who are working to establish or re-establish themselves in the workplace.

“The quality work clothing donated to the Community Resource Center will be shared among our current clients, former clients and individuals who we know are struggling to make ends meet,” says Sherrie Wohlgemuth, executive director of the Community Resource Center. “The clothing rooms in Chillicothe are generous, too, but this donation is a major range of clothing for women size 14 to 24. We always have clients looking for clothing in that size range.”
