8:08 a.m., Officers received a report of sexual assault that occurred several years ago in the 1100 Block of Grandview. The investigation is ongoing.
9:47 a.m., Officer called to the 1700 block of North Washington for debris in the roadway.
10:24 a.m., Officer traveled to Chillicothe Truck Repair and Tow to recover a firearm left in a vehicle from a prior accident investigation.
10:46 a.m., Officer called to a one-vehicle accident in a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves. A driver struck a stop sign and concrete post which disabled the vehicle front tire.
1:11 p.m., Officer responded to a one-vehicle accident at Third and Hillcrest. A vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch, and became disabled.
1:32 p.m., Officer called to the 700 block of Williams Street for illegal entry into a storage unit.
1:39 p.m., Officer attempted a well-being check in the 1400 block of Easton, but the subject was not located.
3:38 p.m., Officer responded to a noise complaint in the 100 block of Third. The resident was advised of the complaint.
4:26 p.m., Officer called to a parking complaint in the 1800 block of Clay. Owner of the vehicle was located and the vehicle was properly parked.
5:21 p.m., Officer called to a parking complaint in the 200 block of Clay. The owner of the vehicle was located and the vehicle was properly parked.
7:05 p.m., Officer received a report of credit card fraud from a resident in the 1700 block of Borden.
7:57 p.m., Officer spoke to a subject regarding a custody dispute. The subject was advised of their remedies.
8:45 p.m., Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Washington Street. The driver was cited for speeding.
9:19 p.m., Officer took a call of landlord/tenant issue. Parties were advised of their remedies.
9:31 p.m., Officer spoke to a subject about harassment.
10:10 p.m., Officer conducted a well-being check in the 200 block of Southwest Drive. The subject was found to be safe.
10:36 p.m., Officer called to a suspicious person report in the 1600 block of Webster. No suspicious persons were located.
11:15 p.m., Officer called to a hotel in the 1000 block of South Washington for a domestic disturbance. The incident was reported to be verbal in nature and no arrests were made.
11:53 p.m., Officers were called back to a hotel in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. At this time, it was determined by physical evidence, a physical assault had occurred; therefore, officers arrested a female resident/employee of the hotel for domestic assault. She was processed at the police department and transported to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
On July 22, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to 100 calls for service.
