7:08 a.m., Report of suspicious acting subject ringing a doorbell in the 1800 block of Country Club Drive then leaving on foot. Officers unable to locate the subject.
7:49 a.m., Complaint of a dog running loose in the 200 block of Woodrow. Owner located and given a warning to comply with licensing and ordinance restrictions.
8:53 a.m., Officers checked well-being of subject sleeping between buildings in the 200 block of N. Washington Street. Subject was OK and waiting to go to the library.
9:18 a.m., Well-being check of a subject in front of a business in the 600 block of N. Washington Street. The subject was okay and moving on.
10:24 a.m., Officers began an investigation of theft that has been occurring in the 600 block of Business 36, Chillicothe, for several months. This investigation is continuing.
12:33 p.m., Report of a subject at a business in the 800 block of West Business 36, attempting to sell items. Investigation showed items had been stolen from a nearby business. The subject was arrested, transported to the police department, processed and released.
3:11 p.m., Officers responded to the 800 block of Walnut Street in regards to a domestic disturbance which was found to be verbal in nature, no arrests were made.
3:13 p.m., Officer spoke with a subject at the police department and determined the subject’s complaint of child abuse had occurred within another jurisdiction and will assist with submitting information to the correct agency for investigation.
3:44 p.m., Reported trespassing and theft from Chilli Bay Water Park. A wicker table and a wall hanging of a “Shark” were reported stolen from the security fenced area….
4:30 p.m., Officers were called to a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street in reference to an assault. After an investigation, it was determined by officers that an assault did not take place. Local charges on the accuser will be presented to the City Attorney for consideration of charges for the filing of a false report.
5:01 p.m., Report of Motorcycles and a 4-wheel ATV being operated carelessly in a parking lot area in the 500 block of South Washington Street. Officer unable to locate.
5:54 p.m., Officer gave a presentation to the council at the meeting at City Hall.
5:54 p.m., Subject in police department to provide a written statement in reference to a previously reported and investigated incident. Statement was received.
6:33 p.m., Officers assisted Emergency Services at a residence in the 1500 block of Maple Street after a residents medic alert had been activated.
7:26 p.m., Officers conducted a well-being check on a subject in the 300 block of Wilson Street. Subject was determined to be okay.
9:52 p.m., Officer picked up an item believed to be drug paraphernalia that had been abandoned inside a business in the 800 block of Business 36 Highway. The item was brought to the police department to be destroyed.
10:11 p.m., Reported suspicious activity around the residence in the 1100 block of Calhoun Street. Officers checked the residence and surrounding area with negative findings of anything suspicious.
On July 29, the Chillicothe Police Department received 75 calls for service.
