2:02 a.m., Check the well-being of a subject in 500 block of South Washington Street. Subject determined to be okay.

3:08 a.m., Report of someone yelling in the area of 1000 block of South Washington Street. The subject was contacted and advised of the violation of the ordinance and was given a warning.

9:10 a.m., Officer on special assignment in Caldwell County, assisting another agency.

9:39 a.m., Officer returned property to the License Office.

9:46 a.m., Officer out at KCHI for public relations detail.

10:04 a.m., Report of suspicious activity near the railroad tracks on Jackson Street. Officers located two individuals but nothing found to be illegal.

10:10 a.m., Officer out in the 800 block of St.Louis Street reference a continuing investigation.

10:40 a.m., Report of a suspicious acting subject in the 500 block of Walnut Street, a subject was talking on cell phone speaker-phone.

12:42 p.m., Report of person loitering in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. The subject moved on.

1:00 p.m., Officer at police department performing court ordered fingerprinting of a subject.

1:13 p.m., Report of someone taking property from the 100 block of Bridge Street, it was determined to be a civil matter.

2:32 p.m., Reported sexual assault at a business in the 600 block of West Business 36 Highway. The subject was contacted and advised officers that incident had not occurred.

2:34 p.m., Officer spoke with a subject that had questions on child discipline.

3:43 p.m., Report of suspicious activity in the 10 block of Church Street. Reported to be three kids hanging around the area. Officers did not locate anyone.

5:41 p.m., Report of suspicious activity near railroad tracks by 400 block of Reynard Street. Officer spoke with the reporting party and everything was okay.

8:20 p.m., Request for a wellbeing check in the 1100 block of Calhoun Street. Unable to make contact.

8:45 p.m., Parking complaint in the 300 block of Calhoun Street. The owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.

9:17 p.m., Report of a suspicious acting person in the 400 block of Locust Street. Description of the subject was obtained, but Officers were unable to locate.

9:43 p.m., Report of stealing from a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street. A subject was arrested, transported to the police department, processed and released with citation.

10:24 p.m., Officer observed unchecked fire at an address on Derringer Drive, residents were advised.

10:30 p.m., Report of subject messing with items near the alley in the 600 block of Elm Street. The subject was contacted and was found to have been preparing for job activities of the next day.

On July 31, the Chillicothe Police received 115 calls for service.
