Great story from Grandmother Jeanne. Young J. W. Heil, his Mom, Beth and Grandmother Jeanne Hinkebein have returned from New York City where J. W. underwent numerous tests checking and scanning his body. After all the tests were done, they walked back to Sloan Kettering Hospital and headed to the playroom. J. W.’s doctor came in the room and talked to Beth and after a few minutes she signaled thumbs up. Everything came out “Cancer Free”. The next set of tests will be given in September, keep J. W. in your prayers.

Compliments to Cathy Manning, Registered Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital, selected as “July Daisy Award” recipient. The award recognizes exemplary nurses throughout the U.S. and International. Cathy left quite an impression on this family of 9 who were at the hospital with a family member that was a patient there. She learned and greeted them all by name and was by their side through their stay there . Her attention to the patient and family was amazing, as a family member nominated Cathy for this award.
