You may remember William Shuttleworth, passing through Chillicothe this summer. He has completed his journey from Massachusetts May 15 to the USS Midway in San Diego on Sept. 1. His statement

“Put on a pair of shoes and start walking and you will see Americans who love one another and will give you the shirt off their back”. The 71-year old U.S. Air Force Veteran on “William’s Mission”, the 7 month walk across America “Vets Don’t Forget Vets”. Mission Accomplished!!

A very popular event each year—St. Columban Catholic Church 46th Annual Fall Festival. Sunday, Sept. 22, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds, 1111 Trenton Street. Chillicothe High School Sports are at their BEST—cross country, golf, tennis, volleyball, softball, soccer and football. They are all doing wonderful—tremendous athletes and what sportsmanship.

On their 1st outing, the Chillicothe Lady Hornets Golf team had the medalist, but Trenton picked up the win over Chillicothe, Trenton shot 239 and Chillicothe finished 247 after 9 holes. Teammates Gabby Hapes, Hallie Jones, Quincey Jessen and Brooke Williams. Hallie shot a 45 for medalist honors for the day.

Thinking of Angela, Gabe and McKenna, the Poling Crew, today while driving around Chillicothe and the thought of the Gentle Giant Kelly Poling is certainly among us. As a friend stated, Kelly has left a wonderful legacy, not only through his amazing talent of beautiful murals, but also by the highly respected, loving caring man that he was to his family and all that knew him.

St. Luke’s Mercer County Clinic in Princeton, welcomes Jordon Esry Jones, PA-C, to their medical team. Jordon, daughter of Fran and the late Scott Esry, Hamilton , earned her master’s degree in medical science-physician assistant at University-Missouri, Kansas City and since 2017 has been with Hedrick Medical Center and Wright Memorial. “Practicing Rural Health Care has always been my dream,” says Jones. Jordon and husband, Zane and son, Jack, live and farm near Chula.
