Life Is So Good!!

Remembering Bob Fairchild—we all could tell our stories. Bob certainly moved a lot of lives, held true to his commitments and was an achiever throughout his lifetime.

What about this crazy weather!! We have to pull out our winter gear before we get to wear our fall wrap. Such is life in Missouri.

Area Veterans Honored—Bishop Hogan School Veterans Day recognition is set for Thursday with the program to start at 10:30 a.m. with lunch served at 11:30. Veterans and family members are invited to attend. Chillicothe High School will hold a Veterans Day Assembly on Monday starting at 8:30 a.m., as Veterans arrive, students will assist them in registration for recognition during the assembly that begins at 9 a.m. Again, all Veterans and family members are invited.

Washington Nationals Baseball Team from Washington D.C. wins the World Series. Certainly making history with their 1st world series win in 95 years. It sure was fun watching them making history and accomplishing their goals.

Members and friends of the Burnside Cemetery Association are invited to attend a potluck lunch at the home of Jim and Willa George at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 16. A cemetery meeting will follow the

lunch. To reach the George’s home from Chillicothe, south on Hwy 65 to Hwy JJ, turn left, travel east to County Road, Liv 255.

Chillicothe High School 28th annual Academic Banquet so very successful with 187 CHS students receiving academic letters this year. The interest taken in each student certainly says something about the Chillicothe School District.

Another Piece of Art for Chillicothe to be so proud of and enjoy—The Festival of Lights, since 2004 provides a wonderful drive through Simpson Park. If you would like to volunteer as a helper this year or give a donation email fol@festivaloflightschillicothe.com. Barb Burton directs the preparations of the event. This year Festival of Lights will kick off Saturday, November 23, with all the traditional activities.

The annual CMS Cares Day at the Chillicothe Middle School is Friday with 26 groups of students out in the community sharing their time, skills, energy and efforts in providing a bit of assistance to the neighborhood of Chillicothe in some grateful way.
