Central School has sold and it certainly is a win-win for everyone, the Chillicothe School district is moving on and the purchaser Zabka Properties, LLC will be creating an apartment complex that will be quite appealing for the city of Chillicothe.

Here’s Happy Birthday wishes to our Granddaughter Harlie Mayson Jones celebrating the Big 20 on Sunday. As we have said before from a newborn, toddler, school days and now 2nd year student at University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, what an Amazing Young Lady. Happy Birthday, your pie is in the oven.

The Bob Gipe Christmas Village display continues. The tradition of the Bob Gipe Christmas Village display continues, beginning back in 1992. Open to the public through Christmas season at the home of Dave and Cindy Baker, on Route A, northwest of Chillicothe. The family will be open each Thursday through Sunday nights 5 to 9 p.m., and will be open each night of the week of Christmas with their last night being Sunday, Dec. 29. Take Route 190 for 7 miles, turn right on Route A. The Christmas village will be at the first house on the right side of the road.

The Mitten Tree at the Livingston County Health Center is receiving donations of new and clean used hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for those in need during the winter months. Take your items out to the Health Center, 800 Adam Drive, their hours 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. and call 660-646- 5506. Help Decorate that Wonderful Mitten Tree.

Thank you Bill Smith. While watching Chiefs Football last week, received a quick call from Billy Bob, seeing if we had seen the Price Chopper commercial just on---OK you probably did as well. Former Chillicothe Lady, Kathy Peniston Breeden, was in it---a couple going to Thanksgiving dinner. Kathy, former teacher here, now makes her home in Kansas City area, has performed in plays and also commercials.
