Thank you, Ken and Brenda Lauhoff for the delightful holiday treats, Lindt Lindor truffles. Savoring these as we write. Now to Sister, Pat Smith for those yummy yogurt-cranberry cookies, to Dean and Nonie from Brookshier Cattle Company for the mix of cookies and to our long-time friend, Deborah May who has for many years shared her wonderful fudge, a tradition started years ago with great comfort and satisfaction as part of her Christmas holiday season.

So many wonderful sites to see this Holiday Season, the Festival of Lights at Simpson Park, downtown Chillicothe, all the many Chillicothe folks who decorate their homes with lots of pride and joy, the Bob Gipe Christmas Village and also right outside of town on Highway 190 the home of Alvin and Charlene Thompson with every tree on their property aglow and so much more and then Jerry and Jonne Parrish’s country home on 36 Hwy. near the airport is a showcase and you need to drive by David and Sandi Walkers home on Meadowlane and see their huge beautiful spruce tree out front, been decorating it close to 20 years.

Yes, we do have “The Blue Mound Chronicles” in supply here at the C-T office. Drop by or give us a call at 660-646-2411, we will lay one aside for you, a great gift to share or even add to your collection, a great publication by Joe Dillard and crew, Gary Maberry, Brock Jones and Jerry R. Stephens----- I am reading a great storybook from another local guy you all know, Harvey Harrington, out south of town “Making Sense Out of Life”. I’ve always known Harvey and now I really feel like I know him and his many accomplishments in everyday living, a man to be admired.

The finale for Hallie Rae and her 2019 season at CHS golf—CHS junior state medal winner, Hallie received one final award, earning the Roger Cranmer Memorial Award. She tied for 14th place in the State Tournament in Nixa, becoming the Lady Hornets’ 1st player to win a state medal in eight years, finishing her season with an overall scoring average of 87.4 on 18 holes. With that Hallie earned the Roger Cranmer Memorial Award, given each year since 2008 to the CHS player with the lowest (best) scoring average for the season and this is Hallie’s 3rd year to receive this prestigious award. We thank Marilyn Cranmer and her family for sharing with the many golfing families in the community the passion Roger had for the game of golf and the drive to succeed. Congrads also to CHS Golf Coach Tim Marsh.
