2:48 a.m., Officer checked the well-being of a subject at Elm and Webster streets. Subject okay.
2:51 a.m., Officer checked well-being of subject at Calhoun and Locust streets. Subject okay.
8:23 a.m., Officer performed a funeral escort for a local business.
9:06 a.m., Complaint of trash burning in the 100 block of Cherry Street. Subjects were contacted and fire extinguished. Advised of City ordinance and of burn ban in effect.
9:37 a.m., Officer out at business in 1000 block of Graves Street on an investigation.
10:03 a.m., Officer assisted Children’s Division on a follow-up investigation of possible child neglect in the 900 block of Vine Street.
10:53 a.m., Officers assisted School Resource Officer in checking building with open door at old Litton Stadium. Everything okay.
11:49 a.m., Officers performed well-being check of resident in the 800 block of Elm Street. Subject found to be out of town.
12:45 p.m., Officer out at residence on Grandview. Possible violation of Court Order. No report taken on civil issue.
2:22 p.m., Parking complaint on N. Washington Street. Officer checked reported area and nothing observed illegally parked.
3:24 p.m., Officer at the police department for counseling session with mother and daughter. No report.
4:15 p.m., Commercial intrusion alarm in the 600 block of N. Washington Street. Accidental activation by employee.
4:34 p.m., Officer received a report from a parent in the 200 block of Garr Field Road, of an out-of-control child having damaged property sometime during the night, after Officers had left the residence last night. A report was taken and information was sent to the Juvenile Authority.
5:06 p.m., Officer received a report on the theft of a wallet and its contents from a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Jackson Street. the wallet contained the victim’s driver’s license, social security card, credit/debit cards and cash. investigation continuing.
5:43 p.m., Officer at the police department speaking with subjects in reference to continuing investigation of child neglect. investigation to continue with further interviews.
5:56 p.m., Officer monitored traffic speeds in the area of the viaduct on Washington Street in reference the recent change in the legal speed limit. 395 vehicles were observed driving the speed limit or less and 14 vehicles were observed traveling 1-5 miles over the limit. It appears that the motorists have adapted to the new limit of 35 mph.
6:14 p.m., Commercial business alarm in the 600 block of Locust Street. Officers checked the building and found it to be secure.
6:28 p.m., Officers checked open door on building at Irving Avenue and Fair Street. Everything okay and building was secured.
6:41 p.m., Complaint of careless and imprudent motorcycle rider in the area of S. Washington Street and Business U.S. 36 West. Officer observed unoccupied M/C at establishment in 1000 block of S. Washington. Was unable to identify the motorcycle or operator as the violator.
9:24 p.m., Officer out in 900 block of Vine Street on a continuing investigation. Unable to make contact.
10:27 p.m., Officers observed an open door on a business in the 600 block of Jackson Street. Building was checked and secured.
11:01 p.m., Officers assisted another agency on a traffic violation stop in the 600 block of Washington Street.
11:55 p.m., Officers dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Church Street on a well-being check. Officers unable to make contact with anyone. Officers attempted to make contact with the requestor but were also unable to make contact with them.
On March 5, the Chillicothe Police Department received 84 calls for service.
