12:20 a.m., Officers responded to the river access for suspicious persons. Officers advised the subjects to move on from the area.
1:06 p.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of South Washington to recover lost property. Officers located the property owner and returned the property.
3:45 p.m., Officers responded to the 600 block of Walnut for a civil matter. Subjects were advised to contact an attorney.
3:46 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Deringer Drive for a burning odor. Officers found a subject using his wood burning stove.
4:21 p.m., Officers responded to Washington and 3rd Street for a stranded motorist. Officer were able to get the subject to their destination.
6:51 p.m., Officers responded to the 600 block of Calhoun for suspicious persons. Officers located the subjects who were advised the business was closed and to move on.
7:15 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Dorney and Fair for loud music. Officer explained to the subject to turn the music down.
10:04 p.m., Officers arrested a white female subject for assault. She was processed and released with a citation to appear in court.
On March 15, the Chillicothe Po0lice Department responded to 63 calls for service.

1:10 a.m., Officer out with a vehicle in Simpson Park. Advised of park hours and told to leave.
2:48 a.m., the police department was called and requested to look for a subject that hadn’t returned to their residence in Dawn. This was found to have been the vehicle observed in Simpson Park . Several locations were checked without being able to locate. The police department was notified later in the morning by the parent of the subject that they had spoken with the missing subject and they were okay.
11:27 a.m., Officers responded to the 800 block of Bus 36 Hwy for a report of an on-going domestic assault in a vehicle. Upon officer’s arrival contact was made with a white male and female. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the 21-year-old male for domestic assault 3rd degree and processed him at the police department. The subject was later transported to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail pending charges.
3:06 p.m., Report of aggressive dogs in the 1500 block of Locust Street. Reporting party injured themselves avoiding the dogs. Officers apprehended the dogs and cited the person responsible for the animals.
3:26 p.m., Officer spoke to the subject on the phone in reference to possible harassment by phone. No harassment was determined to be occurring.
4:29 p.m., Motorist assist at Calhoun and Woodward. Vehicle out of roadway and tow already on the way.
4:35 p.m., Officers called to Edgewood Cemetery reference a deer had become entangled in a boundary fence and was badly injured. The deer was euthanized and the Department of Conservation notified.
4:47 p.m., Subject in the police department to make informational report of juvenile subject’s behavior for Juvenile Officer’s records.
5:05 p.m., Officer out at residence in the 1100 block of Calhoun Street. Child playing on phone and calling 911. Issue was handled by parent.
10:20 p.m., Complaint from subject in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street of being threatened by subjects in a vehicle. The vehicle was located by officers and it was determined that the occupants of the vehicle were not threatening the subject. No report.
10:39 p.m., Report of loud music from residence in the 100 block of Herriman Street. Residents were contacted reference the complaint and advised they would quiet down.
10:44 p.m., Complaint of excessive noise from vehicle in the 400 block of St. Louis Street. Officers unable to locate.
11:20 p.m., Officer out checking a vehicle and subjects at the River Access on U.S. Highway 65 south of town. Subjects were okay.
On March 14, the Chillicothe Police received 91 calls for service.

1:34 a.m., Officer stopped a vehicle in 1000 block of Graves Street for having defective equipment. Upon contact with the driver, the officer determined that they were under the influence of intoxicants. The 19-year-old, male from Chillicothe was arrested, brought to the the police department for processing, written citations for DWI, no seat belt, no insurance, no vehicle registration and defective equipment and released from custody.
5:36 a.m., Officers performed a well-being check on a resident in the 1000 block of Walnut Street. Subject was contacted and okay.
7:07 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Washington Street for a two vehicle accident. Officers arrived and were advised that no one was injured. Officers observed moderate damage to both vehicles but neither vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. The southbound vehicle had turned in front of a northbound vehicle. The driver of the southbound vehicle was issued a citation for improper turn; resulting in an accident.
11:36 a.m., Officers checked on a verbal domestic disturbance in the 100 block of E. Second Street. Determined only one subject present at the time. No arrest made.
12:48 p.m., Officers responded to probation/parole Office and took a 27-year-old, Chillicothe resident into custody for violating terms of conditional release. The subject was transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
2:11 p.m., Officer transported prisoner to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
2:54 p.m., Officers out in 300 block of Dickinson Street to attempt warrant service. Negative contact with wanted subject.
3:50 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Webster streets in reference to an abandoned bicycle. Officers were unable to locate any bicycle that had been abandoned.
4:45 p.m., Officer out at courthouse for court duties.
5:45 p.m., Report of illegal burn in the 500 block of Orchard Street. Contact was made and fire extinguished. Subject advised of the ordinance.
6:05 p.m., Report of dogs running loose in the 600 block of Williams Street. No dogs were observed by officers.
6:13 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of South Washington regarding a report of a female driver that was not conscious and in the roadway. Contact was attempted and a window had to be broken to gain access to the subject. The subject was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. The incident remains under investigation…
6:53 p.m., Report of dog running loose near Clay and Washington Street. Officers unable to locate the dog.
6:55 p.m., Subject at residence in the 300 block of E. Bridge to repossess a vehicle. Civil issue worked out by those involved. No report.
7:11 p.m., Report of male and female in altercation at Jackson and Easton Street. Female had left area before arrival of officers. No arrests made.
7:21 p.m., Report of an assault in the 700 block of St. Louis Street. A female was reportedly assaulted by another female. A 31-year-old Chillicothe resident was arrested and transported to the the police department, where she was processed and released.
7:33 p.m., Report of careless and imprudent vehicle south of Chillicothe on U.S. Highway 65, headed north. Officer monitored traffic but was unable to observe the suspect vehicle.
7:42 p.m., Report of kids playing on equipment at old Central School. Officers spoke with relative of the children.
10:32 p.m., Officers responded to the Mitchell Avenue and U.S. Highway 36 intersection and assisted the Highway Patrol on a two vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car. Officers assisted with traffic control while the patrol obtained the information for their report. Livingston County deputies also assisted at the scene.
On March 13, the Chillicothe Police received 108 calls for service.
