Access II Independent Living Center’s office in Gallatin will be closed to the public until some time in mid-April.

“Access II staff will still be conducting business, but no walk-ins to the office will be accepted. Most of our business will be done by phone, including reassessments, interviews, and all other essential business,” Jessica Adkins, marketing and development director said. “Our In-Home and CDS programs will continue to operate as routinely as possible and consumers will continue to receive care in their homes. The safety of our consumers and staff is our top priority and we will do our best to serve our communities during this uncertain time.”

Following guidelines from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) , Access II is advising any in-home aides or consumers who feel sick, and are showing symptoms of the virus to call the office to receive further instruction in regard to services.

“During this time, we will not be operating our Durable Medical Equipment Program or our Transportation Program due to contamination concerns to protect our staff and community members, Adkins said.
