The Chillicothe R-II School District is offering free meals to those under 18 years of age during the district’s COVID 19 closure, Assistant Superintendent Zach McMains said.

“Community volunteers and the Department of Health and Senior Services will be providing free meals during the COVID-19 school closure,” McMains said.

The current day's lunch and the next day's breakfast will be prepared daily Monday-Friday and are available to any person 18 years and under residing in the Chillicothe R-II School District. Two serving options will be available to families, Meals can be picked up at either Chillicothe Middle School, behind the building on the north side, or by the front door of Field Elementary School. For those who request meals, but have no transportation, meals will be delivered. 

Meals are available now through April 3, the Friday before school is currently scheduled to resume. McMains said updates about food pick-up locations will be made as available both on the district’s website and through text alerts. Meal requests can be made at https://forms.gle/o4ESpJBQjKMoqZkf9. Orders must be placed before 4 p.m., for service the next day.
