Effective immediately the Livingston County Courthouse has new guidelines for entering the building as a result of the coronavirus and for the purpose of protecting the public and county staff.

According to a press release from the county commissioners, the public Is asked to transact business with county offices by mail, email or by phone. If someone has a need that they

believe requires going to the courthouse, the public is asked to call the specific office to discuss how the business can be completed and to set an appointment with that office.

The inside door of the north side of the courthouse will be locked and the courthouse security officer will be there to remind people of the new policy.

To comply with Sunshine Laws for public meetings the county commission has a call-in number for the regularly scheduled meetings which the public can join by phone.

To access the March 24 and March 26 meetings at 9:30 a.m., the public can access the meeting through the Zoom app using the meeting ID, 452-664-583, password 064601, or by phone at 660-646-8000, ext. 4.
