Those needing to complete business with city hall can do so over the phone or through email.

Chillicothe City Hall is closed to the public until April 6.

“The leadership of the City of Chillicothe, Missouri takes this current threat for our Community very seriously but also wishes to avoid adding to the fears of our citizens,” according to a press release issued March 23. City hall closed to the public that same day.

The press release stated that there have been no confirmed cases, as of its release, and there were still no confirmed cases on Livingston County as of 11:30 a.m., Wednesday.

“However, out of an abundance of caution for our citizens' and employees' health, by order of the Mayor, City Hall will be closed to the public until Monday, April 6. At that time, we will reassess the situation, and make any further needed announcements.”

City Hall is still functioning, and the public is encouraged to reach out to appropriate staff with any necessary interaction by mail, email, or telephone.
