Love the green grass!!

A shout out to a long time friend, have not seen in a while—Jill Allgood, most of you know her—Jill Marlay, daughter of Leman and Ruth Ann Marlay, Chillicothe long time residents. Jill’s career is in law enforcement and in December 2019 after 13 years with the department, Jill became Chief of Police in Superior, Neb. Hometown girl makes good. Jill, a 1983 CHS Senior, also graduated from the University of Missouri, even worked here at the C-T (she was great fun) and then was the 1st lady officer hired on in 2006 at Superior. At one time her father-in-law Robert Allgood was police chief there. Jill and family, Dave and children, Aaron, Dan and Harley and her son Jake have resided in Superior for 25 years.

Whitney still has the youch. Whitney Clampitt, 2017 Chillicothe High School graduating Basketball Hornet continues her ball skills and has earned Collegiate All American Honors. She earned All American Honorable Mention selection as a junior player at Mid-America Nazarene, Olathe, Kan., finishing her season with 438 points. Whitney transferred to Mid American after starting her college career at Fort Hays State, Hays, Ksn. where she also played ball. Quite the accomplishments along with studying for a medical degree, Whitney is certainly making her family proud, parents, Cory and Kristy Clampitt.

We are opening the front door. What better way to let that warm inviting sunshine into your home. We have this little tradition—our front door opens when springs arrives and is open throughout summer and fall and Bill very excitedly closes it at the 1st snowfall. I love the light and bright, he’s the low lights and the man cave kind of guy.

Jon Hamm—to a lot of you TV watchers, I’m sure you’ve watched the extraordinary guy in action, one of my favorites. Going through some magazine collection, found him on the front cover of “Mizzou”, the magazine of the Mizzou Alumni Association, he studied at the University, earned a degree in 1993, returned to St. Louis where he grew up, took a teaching position at John Burroughs Preparatory School, taught there until 1995 when he left for Los Angeles and the path to stardom. Sometimes you feel some sort of connection. It’s fun to scroll down through the character in a show and find out about them. Best known for playing Don Raper on TV’s “Mad Man” and now so many more.
