In an effort to help provide area children with more options to be creative during these trying times, Main Street Chillicothe is hosting two different contests.
Starting now through May 1, Main Street Chillicothe is conducting an Essay Contest for youth ages 12-18, and a “Draw Downtown” contest for students 11 and under.
For the essay contest, Main Street Chillicothe is asking students, “What does our downtown mean to you?” Students may submit an essay up to 500 words describing how they feel about their downtown area, their favorite part of downtown and what it does for the City of Chillicothe. The winner will be announced on our Facebook page as well as in local media and will receive a $25 Visa Gift Card.
For the drawing contest intended for children ages 11 and younger, Main Street wants to know their favorite part of Downtown. Entries can then be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or post the entry to Facebook.com/mainstreet.chillicothe. The winner of this contest will also be announced on Main Street’s Facebook page as well as in local media and will receive a $25 Visa Gift Card.
The deadline for submission for both contests is May 1.
