7:09 a.m., Officers out at Hedrick Medical Center to pick up property left by patient, to be held for safekeeping.

7:37 a.m., Noise complaint of car racing its engine in the 900 block of Trenton Street. Officers contacted the subject and advised of the complaint. Subject agreed to stop.

9:22 a.m., Officers out in the 600 block of Calhoun on a continuing investigation.

11:26 a.m., Officers responded to a traffic accident at Washington and Business Highway 36. One driver was issued a citation for making an improper left turn which caused the semi-truck trailer’s rear tires to roll over the front end of a car. No injuries reported and the vehicle that was struck by the truck was towed from the scene with extensive damage.

11:28 a.m., Officer responded to the 1000 block of Locust Street to a possible domestic incident. Officers made contact with the involved parties and no probable cause to arrest was determined.

12:59 p.m., Officers out with Children’s Division in the 200 block of Williams Street on a continuing sexual abuse investigation.

2:02 p.m., Request to check suspicious acting subject in the 200 block of Samuel Street. Officer contacted the subject who then left the area. No report.

2:27 p.m., Officers checking well-being of subjects at South Junction. Subjects found to be okay, Headed for Brookfield.

2:48 p.m., Officers out to check subject in alley in the 700 block of Elm Street. Subject okay.

4:05 p.m., Officer out in the 900 block of Webster to deliver paperwork to sheriff’s office.

4:15 p.m., Officer out at business in the 800 block of Elm Street on a continuing investigation of theft.

4:36 p.m., Subject in the police department to speak with an officer in reference to a continuing investigation.

6:00 p.m., Officers responded to 1100 block of Grandview Avenue. in reference to a 3-year-old child appearing on the front porch of a residence without adult supervision. Upon arrival, officers determined the child was playing in the back yard of their residence and mistakenly chose the wrong apartment to enter. The child was returned to the responsible adult and there was no child abuse or neglect observed.

6:09 p.m., Complaint of possible animal neglect in the area of Maple and Park Lane. Officer unable to make contact with resident at this time.

6:51 p.m., Report of a bicycle near the walking trail by the Washington Street viaduct. Officer observed kids in the immediate area. Bicycle believed to belong to them.

8:13 p.m., Subject wanting to speak with an officer on phone to obtain information on action to take on incident in another jurisdiction. Officer spoke with the subject and provided the information.

9:09 p.m., Report of subjects sitting by stop sign at Grandview and Webster streeta. Officers unable to locate anyone.

11:49 p.m., Complaint of subject outside residence and yelling in the 100 block of Polk Street. Subject was contacted and given information from resident that they were not welcome at the residence. Subject advised to quit yelling and was trespassed from the residence.

On April 23, the Chillicothe Police Department received 77 calls for service.
