Two bridge rehabilitation projects south of Carrollton on U.S. Highways 24/65 should be complete soon, according to a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).
MoDOT contracted with Lehman Construction, LLC to complete four bridge rehabilitations. The Chariton River and Long Creek bridges on U.S. Highway 24 in Chariton County were completed in 2019. Crews plan to complete the Missouri River Overflow Bridge, located 2 miles north of the Missouri River, this week. When that project is complete, they have one to two days of work on the Wakenda Creek Bridge just south of Carrollton.
For the final work on these two bridge projects, traffic will be narrowed to one lane and directed over the bridge with traffic signals.
